Campus Support

Once on campus, the Act Six support doesn't end. Campus mentors continue to meet weekly with the Act Six cadre and regularly with each individual scholar throughout the first year. In addition, Act Six provides ongoing leadership training, internships and career opportunities.

It's working!

National data show that less than half of all African American, Latino and American Indian students who start college ever graduate. The data are equally discouraging for students whose parents didn’t attend college and those from low-income families.

But statistics from the Memphis Act Six program tell a much different story for Act Six scholars: 94% of the first 17 Act Six scholars who started the program are still enrolled at Crichton and making a significant impact on campus.
